Glen Industries operates in Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in both Glen Innes and Inverell as part of our supported employments opportunities. Yellow Lid Recycling Bins Since the late 1980's Glen Industries has undertaken supported employment activity in the processing of Glen Innes recyclable materials and expanded in 2020 to incorporate Inverell Shire Council. We hand sort on a conveyor system and process and bale the material gathered from the Yellow Lid Recycling bins in curbside collection. This material is then shipped out for the next stage of it's recycling journey. As you place items in your Yellow Lid Bin please think of the safety of our team of employees who have to handle it. PLEASE only put glass bottles, plastic bottles, cardboard, paper, aluminium and tin cans, foil and plastic containers marked with a recycling number in the Yellow Bin. DO NOT place household waste, nappies, needles, dead animals in the Yellow Lid Bin, this contaminates the load and puts the safety of our team at risk. Business Bulk Collection Glen Industries also provides a commercial pick up service for businesses in the community to collect their cardboard and bulk recyclable material, this is a fee for service per collection. Contact the office on 67321648 for inquiries. Community Recycling Centre (CRC) The N.S.W EPA established Community Recycling Centres at each Materials Recycling Facility to capture some of the more problematic materials that are not typically recycled by organisations such as ours. These include items such as gas bottles, fire extinguishers, paints and oils, smoke alarms, batteries, fluorescent tubes which are dropped off by residents at the waste depots and sealed before being collected by an EPA contractor. There is no charge for residents to drop off to the CRC. We have secured crates adjoining the CRC for residents who don't have a curbside collection but choose to drop off their recyclable paper, cardboard, plastic, tin, aluminium and glass. DrumMuster Drop Off Glen Industries is a registered DrumMuster collection point. All eligible farm/chemical containers must be thoroughly rinsed and MUST pass inspection before being accepted. Report to the office of Glen Recycling, 88 Rodgers Road Glen Innes and see Troy.
